Words in the Valley

Words,
Fill up the page,
Fill up the day,
From end to start.

Blankets,
Of chewed up words,
Shelter the cold,
From head to heart.

A star,
For every letter,
Handed over,
In the sky above.

Shines down,
On every mountain,
Heart in the valley,
Of love.

Gaze out the window, where the sun shines in,
For a little warmth.
Stare out the window, where free winds blow,
Then find the door.

Secret book,
Uncharted feelings,
Un-Earthly meanings,
Find a way.

Truths,
Hide in a closet,
Orphaned prophet,
Set off today.

Gaze out the window, where the sun shines in,
For a little warmth.
Stare out the window, where free winds blow,
Then find the door.

Blankets,
Of comfort,
Blind insight,
Sliver sunlight.

Words,
Spread out stars,
In the sky,
Tonight.

Untitled

She wants to trust her instincts
She claims her intuition is never wrong
She cites literature, poetry and rhyme
Comparing nature and rhythm, coincidence and song.

How can such a gift cast down from above
Transpire into such a form of guilt ridden love?

She writes a letter of thought and love
Explaining how she can not go another day
Under this guise of false indifference
Her words lay the tracks, then pave the way.

Living a lie is such a truth
The dam will break, the waters push through
In passion’s flames the gates stand tall
And wide, shall bend and break down all.

She overcomes a long quiet trance
To break out in moon light dance
Free as the night is young.

The sky black, the stars shine
The sand sifts, the weight lifts
The hour long, the time gone
The gift arrives, like the sun.
